Discover Summer Adventures at The Bloc


Designed for children aged 6 to 12, our camps blend the excitement of indoor climbing with outdoor adventures, including visits to local parks, beaches, hiking trails, swimming pools, and a special museum trip.

Each morning, campers enhance their climbing skills, teamwork, and confidence through guided instruction and challenges at The Bloc. In the afternoons, they explore Nanaimo's natural beauty and cultural sites, from climbing and hiking to beachcombing and discovering local museums — making for an unforgettable, action-packed summer.

PRICES

  • $375/week

  • $1400 / 4 week & includes either early check-in or late pick-up

*Early check-in and late pick-up options are available for your convenience.

Ages: 6–12 years old

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

  • July 28th - August 1st

  • August 4th - 8th

Location: The Bloc Bouldering Gym, Nanaimo, BC

All the Important Info…

Morning Activities - 9AM to 12:30PM: Bouldering lessons, technique development, games, team challenges, crafts and time for snacks and lunch to recharge to refuel!

Afternoon Activities - 12:30PM to 4PM: Campers embark on exciting off-site adventures. Activities will vary day-to-day as we accommodate weather conditions, transportation schedules, and city facility hours to ensure the best possible experience. Adventures include:

  • Beach trips

    1. Trail hikes

    2. Swimming at local pools

    3. Outdoor games and park visits

    4. Museum exploration day

  • What to Bring day-to-day:

    • Water bottle

    • Lunch & Snacks (Nut- Free)

    • Sunscreen

    • Swimsuit and towel

    • Climbing shoes (if you have your own pair, if not they are included in camp fees)

Meet our Camp Leaders/Coaches…


  • Head Coach/ Camp Lead

    Conor, the head coach and a graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, brings both technical expertise and a deep passion for climbing and adventure to every camp session. His coaching emphasizes proper technique, strength, and conditioning, helping campers develop valuable skills in a fun and engaging way. Conor is dedicated to creating a welcoming and positive environment where every camper feels supported and excited for each new adventure. With safety as a priority and enthusiasm at the core of his approach, Conor’s leadership inspires growth, confidence, and a love for learning through every challenge. He hopes each camper leaves camp feeling inspired—and that their time here is just the beginning of a lifelong passion for climbing.


  • Assistant Coach/ Camper Leader

    Angela, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Education, brings creativity and a strong commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all campers. As an assistant coach, she plays a key supporting role in the weekly development of each camper, helping to ensure they feel encouraged, safe, and included. Angela brings fun and adventure to every activity, helping campers build confidence, explore new challenges, and strengthen their teamwork skills. Her supportive presence helps make each week at camp a memorable and rewarding experience.
